Overview:
The Atlanta Housing Authority is the largest in Georgia and one of the largest in the nation, with a fleet of vehicles that support over 45,000 residents and 27,000 low-income households. However, with the scale of its operations, the team faced significant challenges maintaining a fleet of clean, professional-looking vehicles.
Challenges:
Before partnering with Rynse, Atlanta Housing relied on a mobile detailer and a single contracted wash facility—neither of which provided the scale or flexibility needed. The mobile service could only cover about 25% of the fleet during each visit, and was only available twice per month. Meanwhile, the one physical wash location was a 10-minute drive away from their operations hub, making access inconvenient and time-consuming for drivers.
“The biggest win is the flexibility. Many of our drivers take their vehicles home. Now, they can use wash locations that are close to where they live instead of being restricted to just one,” said Mark Montgomery, fleet supervisor at Atlanta Housing.
Solutions:
With Rynse, Atlanta Housing drivers upgraded from a single wash location to 135+ sites across the city and suburbs. Drivers are now able to find and use nearby wash locations based on their daily routes, or even near their homes, eliminating unnecessary scheduling or travel time.

In addition to exterior washing, Rynse partnered with Atlanta Housing’s Fleet Coordinator to source vendors for interior deep cleaning and detailing. The Rynse team handled vendor outreach, prioritizing competitive pricing, quality service, and convenient locations, alleviating the administrative burden for the Atlanta Housing team.
