LOS ANGELES, March 20, 2025 – Rynse, a fleet management software and payment system for government and enterprise organizations, announced today its new partnership with the City of Sacramento. This partnership streamlines Sacramento’s vehicle services procurement process, centralizes its billing, and consolidates its workflows for auto care services.
With a fleet of 1,200 vehicles across 18 departments, the City of Sacramento faced challenges securing bids for vehicle services due to limited resources. While its procurement team had established relationships with a few vendors, both parties were hesitant to initiate the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, as it could take up to eight months to complete.
“City procurement processes are in place for a reason, but it’s the typical ‘red tape’ so many people hate, and that part most certainly is an administrative headache,” said Stacey Chatman, program specialist for the City of Sacramento. “Being able to use the cooperative agreement allows us to go straight to contract and just get the necessary approvals. It saves a lot of time and definitely streamlines the purchase process.”
Rynse’s solution resolved Sacramento’s procurement issues, allowing the City to maintain existing vendor relationships while unifying its data:
- Rynse used its Sourcewell award and collaborated with the City's legal team to fast-track Sacramento's procurement process—cutting approval time from a typical six to 12 months to just two. This allowed the City to secure preferred vendor pricing, streamline contracting, avoid a lengthy bid process, and gain swift City Council approval.
- Rynse helped Sacramento unite auto care, billing, and invoicing into one, centralized platform—eliminating a long-standing gap in fleet maintenance and reducing administrative workload.
